Dr. Hemant Wakankar - Specialist Joint Replacement Surgeongraduated from G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai in 1986 and completed his orthopedic post-graduate training ( MS Orthopaedics) from the same institution in 1989.
Dr Wakankar returned to India in October 1999 and started his exclusive Super-speciality practice in Joint Replacement Surgery in Pune. He performed Pune's first bilateral Knee Replacement surgery in 2000. He is credited with performing Pune's first computer guided 'Navigation' surgery in December 2004.
Dr. Wakankar has conducted many training programs in joint replacement surgery and delivered numerous lectures world over. He was invited to deliver lecture on 'Computer Guided Navigation in total knee replacement for severe varies' at Sydney, Amtzatia in Jan 2006.

National merit scholarship awarded by Pre Govt of Maharashtra in June 1979.
