Started in the year 1985 as a small repairing facility for instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and Plunger Dial etc. for small scale industries, SM Engineers has now developed the facility for items like Lever Dial, Bore Gauge, Dial / Digimatic Ht. Gauge, Pressure Gauge, Torque wrenches.
A team of qualified engineers & skilled technicians are the back bone of S M Engineers, under the valuable guidance of Mr. Mahesh Rabade who is also a qualified engineer and well experienced in the field of Metrology for last 25 years. We have served more than 600 Nos. of customers so far & eager to support you for your any problem in field of Repairing & Calibration of all types of Mechanical instruments.
The repairing activity has been fully equipped with genuine spares which are a key to success & bringing the instruments in acceptable condition for our valued clients. After establishing the repairing set-up which was initially supported by small inspection activity has been fully converted to CALIBRATION LABORATORY by 1990.
All primary Standard / Equipments used for Calibration in Laboratory are directly calibrated from NPL (National Physical Laboratory) to maintain the need of traceability, which is basis condition for ISO-9000 certification. By 1992-1995 we have established as only source in & around Pune for all types Mechanical Instruments as a House of Repairing & Calibration.
After launching of NABL in India. Calibration activity has become a very important aspect for ISO 9000 / TS Certification.

Lab Facility / Index
S M Engineers offers unique facility of repairing your old/non functioning instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Dials, Torque wrenches & Height Gauge etc. some of the standard problems are as follows:
- Vernier / Dial Caliper :ID / OD jaws error, Depth Rod Setting, Repeatability & Fitment of missing spares
- Micrometer :Parallisum error between two faces, spindle jam, zero error of anvils and fitments of missing spares
- Dial Indicator: Repeatability, Linear error and fitment of missing spares.
Length Measuring Machine (LMM):
Our unique Length Measuring Machine (LMM) is competent to calibrate various types of thread plug gauge & thread ring gauges. (M3 to M 300).
Dial Calibration Tester:
Dial Calibration Tester equipped with Sylvac Probing System make the set-up ideal for calibration of all types dials (Up-to 0-50 mm / L.C. : 0.0001mm)
Profile Projector (NIKON):
Our pride NIKON make profile projector is having unique facility to Measure with resolution 0.001mm & Magnification up-to 100X. This equipment is more reliable for Convex, Concave and Measurements like Radius Gauge, Thread Pitch etc.
LMM of Trimos Switzerland:
Our LMM of Trimos Switzerland Make, having capacity of 1000 mm & 0.0001mm. We are the leaders in linear measurement for various types of Instrument like Vernier, Micrometer, Plug, Snap & Ring Gauges. |
