Quality
:
Since both the marbles and granites are rocks, the
quality of them depends on their chemical composition
and mineralogy. Generally the large sized rocks are
broken first and than they are processed.
Therefore the quality of the product may be checked
for the following parameters :
- Smoothness
of the stone
- Color
of the stone
- Strength
of the stone
Marbles and granites regulations :
There
are many regulations regarding different operations
of marbles and granites. Some common regulations are
listed below :

A legal license from the local authorities and government
authorities is mandatory for marbles and granites
mining.

At marble mines, the air pollution must be under
permissible limits.

It is mandatory for mine owners to reduce the toxic
contents of liquid effluents passing out of marble
mine.

Noise of the mining operations and other machines
must comply with rules set by legal authorities.
- The
non-saleable marble and waste rock produced during
the mining of marble must be stored separately on
the dump-ground.
