ABOUT INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

“Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM)" with its Headquarters at Navi Mumbai, is the National Apex body representing a wide spectrum of professionals engaged in various facets of Material Management, responsible for planning, sourcing, Logistics & Supply Chain Management.

Through its wide network of 45 branches and 18 chapters having over 8000 members drawn from public and private sectors,( IIMM is dedicated to the promotion of the profession of Materials Management) and with its multifarious activities, including EDP, seminars, workshops, in-house training programs and consultancy assignment & Advance Materials Management Programs & Research Programs, 

To have more effective global interaction , Institute is a chartered member of International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), Atlanta (USA) Incorporated in Switzerland, which has its members in over 44 countries.

In furtherance to its objectives, the Institute is conducting a Graduate Diploma Course in Materials Management (GDMM) recognized by Govt. of India for appointment of superior posts and services under the Central Government and also accredited by IFPSM It also conducts a three-year Post Graduate Diploma Course in Materials Management (PGDMM) by correspondence which is recognized by AICTE. Diploma in Logistics Management a high profile one year distance education program has been launched from July 2000.     
The Institute has its Centre for Advanced Management Studies at Mumbai and Centre for Research in Materials Management (CRIMM) at Kolkata, which are engaged to promote research in Materials Management & also collaborate with industry for furthering the professional advancement of Materials Management & its applications.

Admission

  • Twice a year, January & July

  • Admission start in Jan & July

Eligibility Criteria

  • Any Graduate Degree from a recognized University

  • 3 Year Diploma in Engineering Or other similar Professional Courses with 2 year's Experience

  • 2 Years Diploma in Hotel/Pharmacy/Hospital Management with 3 year's Experience

Duration

  • 2 years by Correspondence mode (distance education) - 4 semesters x 6 months each

  • 2 years by Contact mode (oral instructions) classes commencing first week of January & 
    July - 4 semesters x 6 months each


     

  • PGDMM (Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management) -Approved from UGC/DEB

Admission

  • Twice Jan/July every year through entrance test and viva-voce

Eligibility Criteria

  • Any Graduate Degree from a Recognized University

Mode of Education

  • Distance Education

Duration  

  • 3 years - 6 semesters of 6 months each.



  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) - ISM, USA

 Admission

  • Throughout the year through 48 branches & Headquarter. Students will be eligible for writing the examination only after six months from the date of admission.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Any candidate having passed 4 years degree from recognized university and 3 years experience which should be exclusively in Professional Supply Chain Management and non supportive, non-clerical.

 

  • Any candidate whose possess a degree less than 4 years from recognized University and 5 years experience which should be exclusively in Professional Supply Chain Management and non supportive, non-clerical.


  • IPSCM (International Diploma in Purchasing) -  ITC, GENVA

 Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational - To qualify for these professional qualifications, you must have a university degree and proficiency in English and at least two years working experience in purchasing & supply.

Duration

  • Normal duration of the course is 18 months; however since this is a modular course specially designed for working professionals, the candidates can complete the modules at their own pace. The examinations for all the modules will be held in March and September every year. Certificate and Diploma will be awarded by ITC on successful completion of requirements.
