About Our Founder:     Sevasadan is working in the field of education& social activities for past more than 100 years. Our founder, Late Smt. Ramabai Ranade was a lady with great foresight. With vision far ahead of her times, she believed that the way forward for women in society was through education. About the Foundation : It was a dream come true for Late Smt. Ramabai Ranade, when the foundation stone of Pune Sevasadan Society was laid on 2nd October 1909. Education women in society then, were subject to social ostracisation. But social barriers could not stop her. She was whole-heartedly supported by Late Gopalkrishna Deodhar, the first Honorary Secretary of Sevasadan. Initially, Sevasadan was meant for child-windows and divorcees. But as times changed, so did Sevasadan. In the past century, Sevasadan has grown by leaps and bounds. Today it is running numerous prestigious and socially active institutes like - High School & Junior College, Adult Primary and High School, Pre-primary, Primary Marathi medium school, D. Ed. College, Girls Hostel, A school and a Sheltered Workshop for mentally challenged Children, English medium Co-Ed Pre-primary, Primary and High-school. Dilasa Workshop : Is a special project undertaken by us which aims at Rehabilitation, Self Realization, Development of Students. However, without your contribution Dilasa misses the impetus and momentum much needed to make a difference. Your contribution to the cause is much valued. What's more, you can contribute not just through cash donations, but also in a variety of ways.
