Skills training under Skill India mission may soon learn from augmented and virtual reality

NEW DELHI: Youth enrolling for skills training as part of the Skill India mission may soon learn to use high-end machines through augmented reality and virtual reality.
The ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, led by Rajiv Pratap Rudy, is planning to rope in EON Reality, a US-based company, to bring this new technology for traning to India in association with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
The technology could be first demonstrated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat during the Vibrant Gujarat investor summit in January 2017.
