Veneers:

Dental composite is made of synthetic resin combined with other dental restorative materials. It is used as an alternative to amalgam and is ideal for the creation of dental veneers, being that it is able to restore, reshape and mask teeth. Dental veneers can be of two types –

Tooth Color Restoration:
Composite Resin Fillings:
Composite Resin Fillings are the most common alternative to dental amalgam. They are sometimes called “tooth-colored” or “white” fillings because of their color. Composite resin fillings are made of a type of plastic (an acrylic resin) reinforced with powdered glass. The color (shade) of composite resins can be customized to closely match surrounding teeth.
Glass Ionomer Cement Fillings:
Like Composite Resins, Glass Ionomer Cements are made of an acrylic resin and often include a component of glass that releases fluoride over time. These fillings are also tooth-colored but are not as close to tooth-colored as composite resins. The composition and properties of Glass Ionomer Cements are best suited for very small restorations.

LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure):
This is patented laser procedure for use in laser periodontal therapy for treating gum diseases. LANAP eliminates infected gum tissues and bacteria from gums in a unique way. The laser only targets infected tissue which is darker in color than healthy tissues and leave healthy tissue in place.
