Tanishq is a well-recognized and ( removed a )renowned brand in the world of gold and diamond jewelry. This Brand began its journey in 1994 when 18k gold watches adorned with precious stones were introduced. Since then, they have grown into a leading 22k jewelry company with an impressive collection of gold and diamond jewelry. The brand name "Tanishq was coined by its founder, Mr. Xerxes Desai, by combining two words Tan, which means body, and Nishq, which refers to a gold ornament. The brands first cutting-edge jewelry factory, having a dedicated karigar park, was established in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. At present, Tanishq has more than 357 outlets across 200 cities in India and they offer an exclusive range of exquisite gold and diamond jewelry collections.

In 2007 Tanishq, an esteemed jeweler, gained immense popularity by designing beauty pageant crowns for Femina Miss India. They expanded their reach to 71 cities with 105 stores across India in 2008. By 2014, they started exporting their jewelry to the United Arab Emirates. Wedding-focused sub-brand "Rivaah" was introduced in 2017 and they merged with the Titan group to expand their "Gold Plus" stores under the Tanishq brand. To cater to younger women, they launched the sub-brand "Mirayah". In 2017, they introduced their first line of mens jewelry, "Aveer". At present, Tanishq has more than 385 retail stores in India and plans to open 45-50 new stores by the end of 2023. In 2023, they opened their US flagship store on Oak Tree Road, a famous shopping district for South Asian products and services on the East Coast.
